THE STORY OF THE DAVIS CUP 1913

Written by Arthur Wallis Myers; rarest and earliest of books on The Davis Cup

Here is a very rare lawn tennis book called \"The Story of the Davis Cup\" written by Myers and here extracted from his earlier book called \"The Complete Lawn Tennis Player\", originally from 1908, so the first four chapters are as written in 1908, and the last three carry the story forward to 1913. This is therefore the first true history of The Davis Cup (founded in 1900) written in book form, charting the expansion of the entrant countries from the founding two, being the USA and England. The book has six pages of photos, in 103 pages in small format hardboards, externally The Davis Cup embossed in silver on the front board. The book is in very good condition with just half an inch of the spine covering absent at the top edge. The price is £250/US$500 delivery worldwide included.
