TENNIS AND THE OLYMPIC GAMES by Alan Little

The history of tennis in the Olympics from 1896 to 1924, and 1988 onwards; at £13 UK post free

Alan Little, Honorary Librarian at the Wimbledon Museum and Library, writes another of his well researched books about tennis history. Here he concentrates on the Olympics and the years when tennis was played, i.e. 1896 to 1924 and then from 1988 onwards. He writes short texts about each year, and illustrates it with photos of players and venues, with all the medal winners. Then he analyses the national representation of players and finally lists every full match score. This book was pubished in June 2009 in hard pictorial boards with 166 pages.
