This very collected and collectable annual reaches its quarter-centenary with this year's 2009 edtion, the 25th. First published in 1983 and written by John Parsons of The Daily Telegraph, it is now under the authorship of Neil Harman of The Times.
The book describes the main happenings at the Championships on a day-by-day basis as the leading players either advance or fall. Each day's text is beautifully illustrated with full colour photographs of the players in action. Harman picks out the important matches and their progress.
The last pages of the book contain the full and completed draw-sheets of the main events, and there is also a full roll of honour of previous winners.
At the time of writing this, mid-November, it is understood that there are now fewer than 50 copies remaining unsold at the publishers, so this book will quickly become unobtainable.
In large format hardboards and dust-wrapper with 160 pages, copies are offered at £25 inclusive of UK postage; please ask for mailing costs for non-UK delivery.
PLEASE NOTE THAT AS AT 23 NOVEMBER 2009, THIS BOOK IS ALMOST SOLD OUT AND THE PRICE IS £25 PLUS POSTAGE.
