His star has risen dramatically in 2009 to the extent that he has reached the number 3 spot, though possibly has now slipped to number 4. But on his day he can beat and indeed has beaten all the others above him. I suspect his match fitness, although much improved, does not yet see him to the end of a long event with mayches over 5 sets, and that second service has to be strengthened!
Now with new agents, new contracts and new sponsorships, all looks set fair for Murray for the future, but 2010 really must see him win a Grand Slam.
This new book gives much more detail on his earlier and current private life, and it is clear that he has become much more articulate and outgoing, hence the title of the book. As he said recently, growing up on the public stage is a big ask for any young person.
And equally clear is how much good Andy's high profile has done for tennis in Great Britain especially amongst the young who now seek to emulate his success.
The book was published by Random House in England on 5th November 2009 and is in paperback with 352 pages. It is offered at £8 plus postage.
